February is heart month, a time to celebrate your heart and focus on preventing heart disease, a leading cause of death in men and women. Moving more is one of the easiest ways you can lower your risk of getting heart disease! Join our Get moving for better heart health activity challenge to increase your activity and move more.
This point based challenge focuses on your individual activity minutes. Active minutes on trackers are based on heart rate and typically movement that equals or exceeds the intensity of a brisk walk counts towards your active minutes.
Participants can connect their fitness trackers to the challenge runner site or app, or can enter the required information directly through Challenge Runner manually if using a health/activity app on your phone, or a tracker that is not supported. This challenge allows participants to enter data up to 1 day late.
This challenge will run for three weeks from Monday 2/7/22 through Sunday 2/27/22.
Weekly prize: 1 random winner chosen from everyone who earned points that week wins a $5 Amazon gift card.
Grand Prize: Awarded to the person with the highest point total at the end of the challenge wins a heart/heart health themed prize pack.
Biggest improvement: Awarded to the person with the highest percentage increase in activity minutes from the first week to the last wins a heart month tee shirt.
