This Challenge is meant to be a fun and easy way to stay motivated to MOVE YOUR BODY for the next 6 weeks! We will be working on building in the healthy habit of ADDING EXERCISE & MOVEMENT, even on the days we don't meet virtually.
Here are the deets:
1) Your goal is to MOVE YOUR BODY at least 5 days per week. Every day that you exercise in any form (including for our virtual sessions), record how many minutes you moved that day. You'll get a point for each minute you move!
2) At the end of the 6 weeks, you'll have a record of how much you moved. Use this 6 weeks to PLAN, PREPARE, and EXECUTE...you can do it!
3) How much movement and what type counts? Aim for at least 30 minutes/day (we're going to bat for the fence!), but even you can break it up into 10 minute increments throughout the day. Even if you don't make it to 30 minutes, it's OK! Record ALL your minutes of intentional movement. Movement can be walking, a video or other workout, swimming, or climbing your stairs on hourly work breaks, etc. But it has to be INTENTIONAL movement: so it doesn't count if you just shop for a long time or get lost in the parking lot! Remember, you are MAKING TIME to move your body!
4) 6 weeks x 5 days x 30 minutes = 900 minutes! Whew! Let's see how close you can get!
