November kicks off the holiday season with high expectations for a cozy and festive time of year. However, for many this time of year can be tinged with unpleasant feelings and emotions. We want to kick off the holiday season practicing
GRATITUDE! With gratitude, people acknowledge the goodness in their lives. Gratitude helps people feel more positive emotions, relish good experiences, improve their health, deal with adversity, and build strong relationships!
INCENTIVES:
Participants can earn up to 60 points during this challenge
Each task varies on category, effort, and point value
Employees that earn at least 40+ points, their name will be entered into a raffle for grand prizes!

KINDNESS TO YOUR COMMUNITY:
Volunteer in your community (soup kitchen, local charity, animal shelter, etc.) = 10 PTS
Purchase a stranger’s coffee, meal, etc. in the check-out line = 7 PTS
Hold the door for those who walk in behind you for the entire day = 3 PTs
KINDNESS TO COWORKER:
Reach out to an unfamiliar coworker and invite them to join you for lunch = 10 PTS
Write a thank you note to a coworker (or “You Got Caught” card) and place on their desk = 7 PTS
Bring a coffee/tea/water refill and/or a healthy snack to a colleague = 3 PTS
KINDNESS TO YOUR PLANET:
Avoid plastic/paper products that cannot be recycled for the entire day (plastic utensils, straws, coffee stirs, paper cups, etc.) = 10 PTS
Carpool, take public transit, or bike/walk to somewhere today = 7 PTS
Pick up litter in your local park, neighborhood, walking route, daily routine, etc. = 3 PTS
KINDNESS TO YOURSELF:
Give yourself a break during the work day and take a 10 min-walk outside (or inside if weather does not permit) = 10 PTS
Unplug from TV, Social Media, and Email for an hour and replace with an activity you enjoy = 7 PTS
Write a list of your top 5 strengths and why = 3 PTS
